Severance Wrestling Club: Open Mats Kickoff for the 2024-2025 Season
The countdown to another exciting season of Severance wrestling has officially begun! Starting October 8th and running through the end of October, the Severance High Wrestling Room will be available for open mats for all Severance High School aged wrestlers every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Starting November 4th and going through the start of the actual season (November 18th) Open Mats will go to three times per week, on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. These sessions offer a fantastic opportunity for returning wrestlers to sharpen their skills, for incoming freshmen to get a feel for the team environment, and for anyone interested in trying wrestling for the first time to dive in.
Whether you're an experienced wrestler or just curious about the sport, open mats are a chance to train, connect, and prepare for the battles ahead. The energy in the room is electric as athletes push each other to new heights, and this year's season promises to be no different. With a strong foundation of returning talent and the fresh faces of new athletes joining the ranks, the Severance wrestling community is buzzing with anticipation.
